ASSOC. PROF. DZUNG DAO
Dr. Dzung DAO is an Associate Professor and Head of Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering Department at Griffith University, Australia. He received the Ph.D. degree in Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) from Ritsumeikan University, Japan, in 2003. Since then he experienced several appointments, such as Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Lecturer, and Chair Professor at Ritsumeikan University until 2011. From 2011 he joined Griffith University, where he currently leads Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering at the School of Engineering and Built Environment. He is a member of the National Committee on Mechatronics, Engineers Australia.
Dr. Dao’s research interests include MEMS/NEMS technology, sensing effects in nanostructured materials, micromachined sensors for harsh environments, micro actuators and robotics. He has published over 330 publications, including 155 refereed journal papers, 175 refereed conference papers, 3 book chapters and 15 patents in the field of MEMS/NEMS.
